Our Christmas 2024 Giveaway
At the heart of The W.I.G. Cares Foundation, Inc., is the personal journey of our CEO, Wil Williamson, and his son, Joshua Williamson. Joshua, a bright and talented 9-year-old diagnosed with autism on the high spectrum, has been an active participant in our programs. His creativity led him to publish his first book, The Tigers' Journey, which is available on our website.
Motivated by Joshua’s growth and potential, Wil has taken meaningful steps to support not only his son but other children with autism. He has contributed grants to Joshua’s elementary school to enhance educational resources and programs. Beyond that, Wil has also advocated at the state and national level, writing to Congress and local senate leaders to champion the rights and needs of students with autism.
Their story is a powerful reminder of why we do this work—to create a more inclusive, supportive world for children of all abilities.
We are thrilled to share that W.I.G. Cares Foundation, Inc. successfully hosted its first Inclusive Dance Workshop, and what an amazing experience it was!
Each month, we would like to highlight a family!
A special thank you goes to Cathy, the very first family to participate in our program. Your presence marked a meaningful milestone for our organization, and we are truly grateful for your support and trust in our mission.
A Fun Moment:
After our movement session, we shared a delicious meal from Chick-fil-A—a crowd favorite! One of our students, Hadassah, shared that her favorite items on the menu are the waffle fries and the spicy chicken sandwich!
